Letter from the First Vice President
Hi Ladies –
Thanks Ann for a very interesting Workshop project, ‘A Touch of Asia’. We had a great turn out for this class -
- 25 members enrolled. What a wonderful way to kick off the New Year!
On February 4
th
, we’ll be doing something different – scratch art. ‘Hippity Hop’, taught by Cindy Makowski, is
a cute little bunny that will bring a smile to everyone’s face. And guess what! No advance prep is required but
there is a $10 supply fee for the special surface. Tools will be available to purchase but some will also be
available for you to use in class. This is a new technique to many of us and I think you will enjoy it.
Spaces are filling up quickly for this year’s Seminar. Please don’t delay in signing up to paint these beautiful
projects. On Friday, March 3
rd
, we will be painting ‘Turkey Surprise’ and on Saturday, March 4
th
, we will be
painting ‘Morning Mist’. We are very fortunate to have Roxanne (Rocky) Pulchalski, MDA as our Seminar
Artist. I know we are all going to learn a lot from her.
The fee for one (1) day is $35 or $65 for both days for members. For non-members, the fee for one (1) day is
$40 or $75 for both days. The fee includes breakfast snacks, lunch and drinks.
On April 1
st
, the workshop project is ‘Daisies’ taught by Cheri Bergquist. These beautiful flowers will be
painted on a black canvas. Preparation instructions will be available at the February workshop.
Registrations for the February & April Workshops, as well as the Seminar, are now being taken.
Remember, to bring your own lunch for the Workshops. We will not be serving lunches until further notice.
Morning coffee and snacks will be available.
You can always contact me by email (rcm0335@gmail.com) or phone (386-447-1923), if you have any
questions.
I’ll be seeing you at the Workshop on February 4
th
, if not before.

ABOUT US
Our Chapter was formed in 2003. Since that time, members
have enjoyed trying their skills at various types of art: oil,
acrylic, fabric and water color painting, tangles, colored pencil,
and glass painting. We paint on many different surfaces,
including canvas, gourds, baskets, and wooden surfaces. Our
Chapter children’s project is Kids R First which is photo boxes
being painted for local foster children ranging in age from
infant to 18 years.
Meetings are held the first Saturday of every month at 9:00
a.m. at the Flagler Women’s Club, 1524 S. Central Avenue,
Flagler Beach, FL. After our meeting, we have a scheduled
workshop. For information about Palm Coast Decorative
Painters, please explore our site. You can check the latest
newsletter to see what’s coming up or contact any of the Board
Members.
MISSION:
