Letter from the First Vice President Hi Ladies – I hope all of you ladies were able to complete that cute little Santa who was getting ready to make his Christmas deliver-ies. Lee, thanks for introducing all of us to that cute little fellow. The end of our scheduled painting projects for 2022 is almost here. We just have one more Workshop scheduled and that Workshop, scheduled for November 12th, should really put us in the mood for the upcoming holidays. Alise Duerr will be teaching the ‘Snowman with Lights’. This project is painted on a 10’x20’ canvas and is embellished with spar-kling lights. A really lovely holiday project! At our November meeting, we will also be selecting the pro-jects YOU would like to paint in 2023. We have received a really nice selection of projects and I think you will have a difficult time selecting only 10. Please plan to attend this meeting! A special thanks to everyone who returned their question-naires. I am now in the process of typing up the responses for our teachers and anyone else who may be interested in teaching a Workshop in the future. I’m sure this information will be very helpful to them. Our November luncheon menu will feature ‘Italian Wedding Soup & Assorted Rolls’ for only $5. If anyone needs to finish a project or needs help in prepping an upcoming project, just remember, many of us are painting at the Palm Coast Community Center on Wednesdays, from 9am to 11:30am. We’ll all be happy to help you! There is no charge and everyone is welcome! You can always contact me by email (rcm0335@gmail.com) or phone (386-447-1923), if you have any questions. See you at our final Workshop for 2022 on November 12th, if not before. Ruth McDonald First Vice President Volume 19 Issue 11
ABOUT US Our Chapter was formed in 2003. Since that time, members have enjoyed trying their skills at various types of art: oil, acrylic, fabric and water color painting, tangles, colored pencil, and glass painting. We paint on many different surfaces, including canvas, gourds, baskets, and wooden surfaces. Our Chapter children’s project is Kids R First which is photo boxes being painted for local foster children ranging in age from infant to 18 years. Meetings are held the first Saturday of every month at 9:00 a.m. at the Flagler Women’s Club, 1524 S. Central Avenue, Flagler Beach, FL. After our meeting, we have a scheduled workshop.
